Everything is scored against this, not a fixed benchmark. Use your break-even ACOS if you know it — the point at which an extra sale stops making you money. If you are unsure, 30% is a reasonable starting point for most private-label sellers.

Actionable Recommendations

The Real Problem

Most Amazon accounts don't fail loudly. They leak quietly.

When an account underperforms, sellers usually go looking for one big broken thing. That's rarely what's happening. What's actually happening is six or seven small inefficiencies running at the same time, each one too minor to notice on its own.

A handful of keywords spending with no orders. Bids that drifted away from your target ACOS months ago. Broad match carrying more budget than it earns. The same keyword competing against itself in three campaigns. Ad groups so large that no single bid fits the keywords inside them.

Individually, none of these will show up in your weekly numbers. Together, they routinely add 10–15 points to TACoS — which is the difference between a brand that scales and one that stalls.

This tool measures all eight dimensions at once, so you see the compound picture rather than chasing one symptom at a time.

How small leaks compound
Zero-order keywords+3.1 pts
Bid drift from target+2.4 pts
Broad match overweight+2.2 pts
Missing negatives+1.9 pts
Keyword self-competition+1.6 pts
Ad group bloat+1.3 pts
Combined TACoS drag +12.5 pts
The Process

How It Works

Four steps, about sixty seconds, and nothing ever leaves your computer.

1

Export Your Bulk File

Pull a Sponsored Products bulk file from Amazon covering 30–60 days. Shorter ranges give you thin data; longer ranges bury recent changes.

2

Upload It Here

The file is parsed by JavaScript running inside your own browser. Nothing is transmitted, stored, or logged — there is no server to send it to.

3

Get Your Score

A weighted score out of 100, broken into eight categories, each with the underlying numbers shown so you can verify how the grade was reached.

4

Act On It

Recommendations ranked by priority, with dollar figures where we can calculate them, plus links to the guide that walks through each fix.

Exactly How Your Score Is Calculated

No black box. Here is the weight every category carries in the final number, and why it carries it.

🏗 Campaign Structure 15%
🎯 Targeting Efficiency 15%
🔥 Wasted Spend 15%
🚫 Negative Keyword Health 13%
💰 Bid Optimization 12%
🔍 Keyword Coverage 10%
💲 Budget Utilization 10%
🎲 Match Type Balance 10%
Why these weights? Structure, targeting and wasted spend carry the most weight because they move profit fastest and are the hardest to unwind later. Coverage, budget and match type matter, but a well-structured account with a few gaps outperforms a broad, shallow one every time. Each category is scored 0–100 on its own, then multiplied by its weight and summed.

Practical Use

When To Run This Check

Five moments where an objective read on the account is worth more than another dashboard.

Before you start optimizing

Get an honest baseline first. Without one you can't tell whether the changes you make over the next quarter actually worked, or whether seasonality did the work for you.

When spend climbs but sales don't

The fastest explanation is usually a set of search terms and match types quietly absorbing budget without converting. This surfaces them in one pass instead of ten filtered reports.

When you inherit an account

Taking over someone else's build is the hardest audit there is. Structural problems — bloated ad groups, missing auto campaigns, no negatives — show up immediately here.

When you have limited time

Everything is ranked by impact, not by how easy it is to do. If you only have an hour this week, the top recommendation is where that hour belongs.

Before a launch or Q4 push

Scaling spend on a leaky structure multiplies the leak. Fixing waste and negatives before you increase budgets is far cheaper than fixing it at peak volume.

As a monthly checkpoint

Accounts drift. Bids move, terms change, new products enter. Running this monthly and watching the score trend tells you whether the account is improving or slowly degrading.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What file do I need to upload?
A Sponsored Products bulk file exported from Amazon Ads, in .xlsx format. Go to Campaign Manager → Bulk Operations → Download, select Sponsored Products, choose your date range, and download. The tool reads the "Sponsored Products Campaigns" sheet and, when present, the "SP Search Term Report" sheet.
Is there a limit on file size or number of rows?
No. The parser processes every row in your file, whether that's a few hundred or several hundred thousand. Because the work happens in your browser rather than on a server, the only practical ceiling is your own machine's memory — which is far beyond what any normal Amazon export will produce.
Does my data get uploaded anywhere?
No. There is no server component to this tool. The file is read by JavaScript running locally in your browser, analyzed there, and discarded when you close the tab. Nothing is transmitted, stored, or logged. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads — the analysis still runs.
Do I have to give my email address?
No. There's no signup, no email gate, and no form standing between you and the results. Upload the file and the score appears.
How is the score calculated?
Each of the eight categories is scored 0–100 against the benchmark ranges shown above, then multiplied by its weight and summed into a single figure out of 100. The exact weights are published in the scoring methodology section on this page — nothing is hidden.
What date range should I export?
30 to 60 days works best. Anything shorter and low-volume keywords won't have accumulated enough clicks for their performance to mean much. Anything much longer and recent changes get diluted by months of older data.
My score is low. What should I fix first?
Work down the recommendations in the order they're listed — they're already ranked by impact rather than by effort. High-priority items are typically wasted spend and missing negatives, because both return money immediately and neither carries much risk.
Does this work for Sponsored Brands or Sponsored Display?
Not currently. The analysis is built specifically around the Sponsored Products bulk file structure. If your export contains Sponsored Brands or Display sheets, those are ignored rather than misread. Support for other ad types is on the roadmap.
Is it really free?
Yes, and it stays free. If you'd like someone to implement the fixes rather than doing it yourself, that's what my consulting work is for — but the tool itself has no paid tier and no catch.
