The Real Problem

The bulk file will happily let you do the wrong thing, very quickly.

Two failures cost sellers money here. The first is the file getting rejected. The second is worse: it imports cleanly, and the changes were wrong.

Rejected uploads

Amazon requires a specific set of columns for every operation. To change one campaign's budget you must also supply its name, start date, bidding strategy and state. Miss one and the row fails.

Mangled IDs

Open a bulk file in Excel and a 15-digit campaign ID becomes 4.14046E+14. Every row carrying it is now pointing at nothing.

Acting on noise

A keyword with four clicks and no orders looks dead. At a 9% conversion rate there is a 69% chance of that happening to a perfectly healthy keyword.

Edits that do nothing

Lowering a $1.80 bid to $1.50 when you are only paying $1.20 a click changes nothing at all. The bid was never the constraint.

What Makes This Different

Three numbers this tool shows that a spreadsheet cannot

All three are computed from the file you already have. None of them require another export.

Confidence — is this row even decidable?

Every row is scored against how much data sits behind it. Four clicks and no orders is labelled Too early, with the actual probability shown. Eighty clicks and no orders is labelled Proven. The filters and recipes respect this, so a bulk action never pauses a keyword that was merely unlucky.

Headroom — is the bid the constraint?

The gap between your bid and what you actually pay per click. Plenty of headroom means lowering the bid will not change your costs. Capped means you are paying your maximum and raising the bid is what buys more impressions. It tells you where an edit will actually land.

Effective bid — what are you really bidding?

Placement adjustments live on a different tab in every other tool, so nobody connects them. A $1.51 bid in a campaign with a +7% top-of-search modifier is really $1.62 — which is exactly why that keyword's CPC came back at $1.64. We join the sheets and show the real number.

And a bid calculator that will not swing wildly

The usual formula is revenue-per-click times target ACOS. On a row with two clicks and one order that produces nonsense and can multiply a bid several times over. Ours blends each row's own history toward its ad group's average, weighted by click volume, then caps how far any single bid may move.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my bulk file get uploaded anywhere?
No. There is no server. The file is read by JavaScript running in your browser and discarded when you close the tab. Load the page, disconnect from the internet, and the tool still works — that is the simplest way to check.
Will the exported file actually import?
That is the part I was most careful about. Each edited row is kept exactly as Amazon gave it to you, with only the fields you changed modified and Operation set to Update. IDs are written as text so a 15-digit campaign ID never becomes 4.14046E+14. Before export, every edited row is checked against Amazon's required-column rules for its entity type, and anything that would be rejected blocks the export rather than surfacing as an error hours later.
What does "confidence" actually mean?
For a row with no orders, it is the probability of seeing zero orders purely by chance, given how many clicks it has had and your account's own conversion rate. Below 5% we call it Proven. Above that it is Too early — the row may well be fine and you simply cannot tell yet. For rows with sales, it is based on order count, since ACOS built on one or two orders is not a reliable number.
How is "Calc bids" different from the usual formula?
The standard approach sets bid = revenue-per-click × target ACOS. It works on rows with plenty of data and produces nonsense on rows without. Ours blends the row's own revenue-per-click toward its ad group's average, weighted by clicks, so a keyword with three clicks leans on its neighbours instead of swinging wildly. A max-step limit then caps how far any single bid can move in one pass.
Is there a row limit?
No. The grid only renders the rows currently on screen, so a file with a few hundred thousand rows scrolls as smoothly as one with fifty. The only ceiling is your own machine's memory, which is far beyond any real Amazon export.
Which ad types are supported?
Sponsored Products is fully supported and tested against real account data. Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display sheets are detected and editable where present. Sponsored Brands uses different column names to Sponsored Products — Budget rather than Daily Budget, Bid Optimization rather than Bidding Strategy — and the tool reads whichever your file actually contains rather than assuming.
What happens if I close the tab by accident?
Your pending changes are saved locally as you work. Reopen the tool, load the same file, and they come back. You will also get a browser warning before leaving with unsaved edits.
Can I see what I changed before uploading?
Yes. The Pending Changes tab lists every edit with its before and after value, and you can revert any single one without losing the rest. You can also download a change log as CSV for your own records or a client report.
Is it really free?
Yes, with no paid tier and no signup. If you would rather someone ran this work for you, that is what my consulting is for — but the tool itself has no catch.
